In 1880 Valentin Fraas founded the company V. Fraas in Wüstenselbitz, a small town in Upper Franconia with a long history of textile production, and started to produce scarves and shawls. In 1985 Fraas launched its exclusive Cashmink® brand. This high-quality, very affordable, acrylic textile is so soft that it is often equated with natural cashmere. We carry both the Women’s and Men’s line of their beautiful scarves and also their luxurious throws and blankets in many color ways and patterns. I particularly love this line because of the beautiful designs of their textiles, but also because of the extraordinary softness and durability of the fabrics. For our customers with a sensitivity or allergy to wool and cashmere these are a perfect alternative and a wonderfully affordable one. They come in a variety of lengths and widths with fringes at the ends or sometimes down the sides.
