The shawls are made from one very fine thread of 100% cashmere, which makes them very light and incredibly soft, yet wonderfully warm. While they are as wide as a shawl (25”), they have very little bulk and can easily be worn gathered around the neck as you would wear a scarf. I began a collaboration with a wonderful local crochet artist, Estrella Cando, a few years ago and she is doing beautiful crocheted finishes around the edges of the shawls.
The Hand Dyed Shawls are knit by Karen in the studio and dyed by wonderful local dye artists Arline Reilly, and Brece Honeycutt and Santa Fe, NM Shibori Master dyer Ann Katzen.
The Patterned and Striped Shawls are made by Karen in her studio inspired by Japanese designs and her love of colorful stripes.
All are hand or machine washable on the hand wash/ delicate cycle. Must be washed in cold water only. Line or towel dry. Can be dry cleaned.
